I have been nominated for a Sunshine Blogger Award. My nominator was Alicja over at Reel Red Reviews (Click the link and check it out). The rules for accepting such a prestigious award is that I answer the 11 questions Alicja set and then set some of my own. I’m going to switch it up a bit though…
First of all, the questions:
What would be your dream job (disregarding worries about pay or scheduling)?
Either screenwriter or movie critic. I would love to do something about writing to do with the movie business.
What are some of your favorite childhood films?
I was a pretty standard 90s kid but loved some of the best 80s movie like Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters and Tim Burton’s Batman.
As an ode to Barbara Walters: If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
What a question! I’d be a Willow tree because of the long branches! Great for the wind and you take up a lot of space (quoted directly from my Wife).
What’s your least favorite film genre?
Horror. I hate “Cattle-Prod” jump-scares. I do love a good horror movie but so many are done very poorly.
Which whimsical sitcom character do you most relate to? Or, if you’re not a sitcom fan, which character of any genre?
I don’t relate to anything whimsical. I’m like any character which is grumpy and “matter-of-fact.” One that comes to mind is Jay from Modern Family.
What’s the last movie you watched, and was it any good?
Dark Places starring Charlize Theron. It was ok. Should have been better.
If you follow the Oscars, what do you think has been the biggest snub of all time?
Alfred Hitchcock never getting a best director Oscar!
Who is your favorite movie love interest (you cannot cite “The Notebook)?
Emma Stone in Easy A. I won’t elaborate!
What movie are you most looking forward to in September?
Tricky one but I think Magnificent Seven looks like it could be fun if a little mindless.
What sayings or personal mantra do you live your life by?
“What’s the worst that can happen?”
Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Definitely a dog person. Don’t mind cats but much prefer dogs.
Now here is where I switch it up. Instead of nominating 11 other people I am going to use the Sunshine Award to shamelessly plug the Views from the Sofa podcast! I will be using Alicia’s questions to probe my co-host Adam and compare our answers.
Overall, thank you Alicja and everyone else, await with baited breathe Episode 8 of the Views of the Sofa podcast.
